Cotton Gin Rib
The cotton gin rib is a critical, stationary component in a saw-type cotton gin stand. Its primary function is to work in conjunction with rotating gin saws to separate cotton fibers (lint) from the seeds. As the saw teeth pull the lint through narrow gaps, the ribs prevent the seeds from passing, effectively stripping the fiber. Gin ribs are subject to significant wear and friction due to the high-speed movement of cotton, seeds, and debris. Consequently, they are manufactured as durable replacement parts, commonly made from materials like stainless steel ,carbon steel, wear-resistant steel&alloy steel etc.
